I am buying a ferret from a lady not a pet store or shelter he is 2 years old and when i bring him home i am wondering what i should do first? would it be fine to play with him right away? or should i just like leave him in his cage for a while to get used to it? i don’t know please help!

I am wanting a ferret but I’d rather get one from someone who is looking for a home for one then go down and adopt one. I want to give it a home. My friend suggested that I ask on here first so maybe I can help someone and get something out of it.So if anyone in Phoenix, Arizona is looking for a new home for their ferret let me know. I am a great pet owner. I have a golden retriever though she is very old. All pets I have or had are kept up to date with shots and medicines and are fed with good food. i really want to raise a ferret and have a new experience.

I have done TONS of research about ferrets, and we are bringing home a ferret soon for the family. One’s in my area sell for -0 with cage. I am looking to get 0 though just in case. Anyhow, what are some cute names for a male or female ferret?
And, please don’t tell me they are a huge responsibility, and are you ready, because I’ve done tons of research before purchasing.

I’ve heard that owning a pet ferret will ward off mice or rats from coming anywhere near the inside of the house as they know the ferret is present. I wondered if anyone could elaborate?

My ferret is still exploring, and barely takes time to have a bit of fun. He nibbles my toe and shirt a bit, but most of the time he just walks around, trying to burrow into pillows.
I’ve heard lots of crazy things about ferrets, so… When will he play tag, jump around, run away, flip or whatever?

I have a ferret. Her name is Emerald-Lynn. (Emmy). she is adorable and i just want some at home treats together..
like, do they like marsh mellows? [[are they good or bad for a ferret]]or peanut butter or i heard they like eggs?
but what are some treats i can make with things lying around the house.
